The Kentucky basketball schedule came out today…sort of. Actually, only the non conference schedule was released and was done so with mixed reviews. The overall difficulty of the schedule was fine but it’s the home schedule that highly questionable.
The Cats play nine regular season home games and two home exhibitions. The only stout test at Rupp will be against Baylor on Saturday, December 1st. Otherwise, it’s nothing but baked goods.
As far as away from Rupp, not even the harshest UK critic can fault this slate. Kentucky plays Maryland in Brooklyn, Duke in Atlanta, U of L at the Yum Center and Notre Dame in South Bend in the Big East. SEC Challenge. It’s doubtful that any top program in America will play anything close. The SEC schedule is still being finalized.
