Wednesday’s Show

June 6th, 2012

The University of Kentucky announced that a significant number of layoffs are coming to the faculty and staff.  That’s certainly bad news for those that will be out of a job but also for those desperately wanting UK to fund new athletic facilities.

CN2′s TJ Beisner will join us in hour one to talk UK Sports.  We’ll review John Calipari’s rants on schedules and the NBA draft.

The Cats Pause’s Jeff Drummond has got recruiting covered in hour number two with updates on football and basketball recruiting.

The show kicks off at 6pm with your calls and comments tonight on Larry Glover Live.

Hour 1 (TJ Beisner)
Hour 2 (Jeff Drummond)

It’s not surprise that UK is the best basketball coaching job in the SEC.  ESPN makes the obvious official with today’s blog post.

The Kentucky Football Program picked up it’s second commit in as many day’s.  This afternoon, 6-3, 220 QB Reese Phillips out of Signal Mountain, Tennessee committed to the Big Blue Nation.

Where would Anthony Davis rank if you reranked last season freshman class?  At the top, of course but what about the rest of the vaunted UK freshman class that just won a national championship?  Find out for your self.

It’s well known that Syracuse doesn’t like playing non conference road games and now the Orange are trying to get out of playing at Arkansas as part of the SEC/Big East Challenge.

Rajon Rondo and the Boston Celtics made Doc Rivers happy last night when they defeated the Miami Heat 94-90 in game five of the Eastern Conference finals
