Monday’s Show

Gary Henderson

The Kentucky baseball team let the SEC regular season championship slip away in Mississippi this past weekend.  The Cats were swept by the Bulldogs dropping UK to a #4 seed in the SEC tournament.

UK will play Ole Miss Tuesday morning at Hoover Stadium in Birmingham at 10am.  An NCAA bid is assured but a poor showing this week might end any thoughts of playing the opening weekend at Cliff Hagan Stadium.  We’ll talk about it tonight with Reds announcer Doug Flynn.

Congratulations to Wildcat head coach Gary Henderson.  The Cats skipper was named the SEC’s Coach of the Year.  Brian Adams has decided to hang of the football cleats and focus on baseball.  That could be a blow to Joker Phillips’ team next season.

Jeff Drummond is killing it with tons of football recruiting intel.  we’ll get tabs on who you should thinking about on the football front.

We will also take your calls and comments tonight beginning at 6pm on Larry Glover Live.

Notes:

The college football top 25′s are already cueing revealed.  ESPN just released it’s early poll (one of many, I’m sure).  Six SEC teams are in the mix with LSU at number 1.  No, Kentucky is not ranked.

The NBA draft isn’t too far away and the executives told Larry Vaught that they’re noticing what UK fans appreciated all season long…the motor of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

There’s a new sherif in town for the Cincinnati Reds.  Aroldis Chapman is the new closer in the ‘Nati.  By the way, the Reds took 2 of 3 this weekend at Yankee Stadium and they’re now just .5 game behind the Cardinals.
