Joker Phillips held Kentucky’s second major scrimmage of the spring yesterday at Commonwealth Stadium. It was more like a replay of the first scrimmage. The Offense looked good early and the Defense closed well. Morgan Newton led the quarterbacks with 10 completions and a TD.

Brandon Knight

A big day for Kentucky basketball.  John Calipari and his staff are expected to get two huge commitments.  First, Brandon Knight, who is the top player in the land, is expected to make it official and cast his lot with the Cats.

In a surprise, Senior-to-be, Mike Gilchrest will make his college destination known today.   Gilchrest has long been considered a strong UK lean.  If the wildcats gets both, they will have captured the top player in high school basketball three years in a row and two will have come in the same day!  Amazing!

Both anouncements will come this afternoon on ESPNU beginning at 4pm.  We’ll hit the air 6pm to discuss the big day.  Plus, we’ll get analysis from Kentucky Ink’s Jeff Drummond.
