Kentucky dispatched Mississippi State last night in overtime to improve 25-1 on the year. The Cats had to overcome a late 7-point deficit to get the win. We’ll talk about what the rally means long term.

Also, we’ll discuss the embarassing display of poor sportsmanship by the Mississippi State fan base at the end of the game. The fun kicks off at at 6pm on the Wednesday night edition of Larry Glover Live.

Larry, I just thought I’d write to say that, for perhaps once in my life, a call I made to you turned out to be somewhat prophetic. Tuesday night, I called you to extol the improved performance/attitude of Deandre Liggins. I said that I thought if the rest of the team showed the same kind of hustle and dedication that Deandre did, that UK would truly be a formidable team. I thought the Mississippi State game proved my point; the whole team, Wall, Cousins, Patterson, et. al., seemed to step up their game, which gave them the victory.

Also, I think we saw another stellar effort by Liggins, which I think lends further credence to the push for John Calipari for Coach of the Year. If anything exemplifies the the kind of job that Coach Calipari has done, I think the turnaround of Liggins definitely justifies the faith the UK administration put in Coach Calipari, and I feel it shows that Cal is more than just a recruiter; he’s a teacher, which is an important component in any coach.
